Easter at Nana's

I am just packing away my Easter decor now...can you believe...

I love Easter and I love Springtime...

I love the colour of lavender

so I couldn't resist this pretty lavender tablecloth from HomeSense

The decoupaged Easter eggs are from Michaels..

I suspended them from the chandelier using clear (fishing) line

Pink and Purple tulips in a vase filled with water beads.

Recently I discovered "water beads"....I have used them at preschool 

for sensory exploration...but they are actually used for floral displays.

 The "cut- work" Easter Egg runner...again...HomeSense...amazing..had to have it.

I found the matching "cut-work" napkins on my next visit to HomeSense.

Everyone got a little fluffy chick and a special chocolaty something

from Purdys tucked into their napkin

and I just had to have this sweet little pair of bunny love salt and pepper shakers

and of course...

the best Easter "bunnies" ever

there were ears...but he didn't like them very much

the tail was adorable.

Beautiful Sunday...

... so we went for a walk

up on blueberry hill (aka Anderson Hill Park)

and on down to

McNeil Bay on Dallas Rd.

the wild flowers were glorious

wispy clouds against the azure sky

looked like a painting...

so many tiny coves and beach spaces along the way

then back up the road

by magical gardens full of puffy pink blooms

all on this Beautiful Sunday

in our Beautiful city...

Spring is Just Around the Corner

Today was the first day I have felt the hope
of Spring in the air....
and the signs of Spring are popping up everywhere
in our fair island city.
I spied these bright little patches of colour in the church garden
as I was walking home from work this afternoon.

as our Mom would say...and she still does to this day..
"Spring is just around the corner"....
